Was chilling out in the garden, when I heard a Blackbird singing close & loud, it then got closer – so I filmed it 😆

My kitchen was overran with Flying Ants & the non-flying ones 🐜 🐜 🐜 It was like a plague! I am not kidding.
So of course I had to document it. It was somewhat nightmarish! 👇🏻

I am delighted & amazed at what I am discovering in the garden lately. Today I was pottering about & I could hear a munching / crunching sound coming from the gate.
At first I thought it may have been a Wasp, but I couldn’t see it. Then after looking the gate up & down I noticed a wee Bee in a crevice! 🐝
A Fork-tailed Flower Bee (Anthophora furcata).

Yesterday I had a wee trip to my local town & I documented how green the journey there is 🏞️
Today I celebrated Father’s Day with some of my family & we had a BBQ, which my Brother-in-law & I tended to 🙂
When the evening arrived, it was time to prepare for the Big Wild Quiz, hosted by Sophie Pavelle and David Oakes. Which kicked off just after 7pm, it was great fun & a laugh! 💚

Yet another wet day… I was looking out of the window & saw a reasonably large Black Slug, that’s when I got the idea for todays video (below) 😉

Today I visited an Urban Organic Micro Farm, called Rea Spring Gardens – which is a short walk away. It is own and ran by a lovely, enthusiastic couple, Charlie and Ashley, who farm with wildlife and the environment in mind 🌍
In the video below, you get to see what they grow and the animals they keep! 👨🏻🌾

I’m going to let the video (below) speak for itself 🙂

It has been great for Birdsong lately, hasn’t it? Since lockdown I have heard some great birds from the back garden 🎶
In my video I’ve labelled each birdsong / call 👇🏻

Most of the day was chilly & grey, but when there was a warm sunny spell, the Bees came out in force to feed on the Cranesbill Geraniums etc in the garden 🐝 💚 🌸
